The technology American Machine & Gundrilling (AMG) uses is highly specialized and modified to our processes. To eliminate unnecessary downtime, we have machine duplicates, and we focus on keeping our equipment maintained and up-to-date with the latest technology. At AMG, we can manufacture components with smaller, deeper holes than any other traditional drilling operation.
Our various machines quickly achieve complex and challenging depths and diameters, offering flexible turnarounds as fast as a day, with capabilities for angled, concentric, intersecting holes and additional hole types. Providing high accuracy and speed, fabricating the exact components you need is fast and easy with gundrilling operations. We use specialized and custom-built technology specific to each function. Using modified gundrilling machines not found anywhere else, we create complex and challenging hole types for various industries. Our list of equipment includes:
- Miroku Gun Drilling Machine Knee-type Fanuc-controlled gundrill: up to 1.25” diameter with 72” stroke
- Eldorado Mega 75 Series digital-controlled gundrill: up to .750” diameter with 24.0” stroke
- Eldorado Mega 75 Series multi-spindle digital-controlled gundrill: up to .750” diameter with 24.0” stroke
- Eldorado Mega 75 Series mod. digital-controlled gundrill: from .070” to .375” diameter with 24.0” stroke
- Eldorado Knee-type digital-controlled gundrill: up to .750” diameter with 30.0” stroke
- Dadson 6-Jaw chuck-style, digital-controlled gundrill: up to 2.00” diameter with 62.0” stroke
- American-built digital-controlled gundrill: up to 1.25” diameter with 68.0” stroke and 24” x 36” table travel
- American-built digital-controlled gundrill: up to 1.25” diameter with 80.0” stroke and 24” by 36” table travel
- American Big Gun digital-controlled gundrill: up to 2.750” diameter with 96” stroke and 30” x 30” table travel
- Unisig/Shin-IL Column-type, Fanuc CNC-controlled gundrill: up to 2.0” diameter with 40” table travel on all three axes and 20,000 lbs. table capacity
- TBT-BWT250 Siemens CNC-controlled gundrill: up to 1.0” diameter with 40” table travel on all three axes and 11,000 lbs. table capacity with enclosure for coolant containment
- Okuma Lathe: digital controls and 22” x 72” stroke
- Bridgeport with digital controls
- Sunnen Horizontal I.D.: honed to 5.500” diameter with a power stroke
- 60-ton hydraulic press
- Makino Tool & Cutter grinders
- 8.0” wet and dry belt sander
- Milwaukee 12” abrasive cutoff saw
- Doall C-916 automatic band saw
- In-house crane system with lifting capacities of 20,000 lbs.
AMG machines have a yearly, certified maintenance routine with adequate documentation to ensure the highest quality with up-to-date technology and consistent standards that create uniform components.

- Elcometer ultrasonic wall thickness measuring system
Our inspection equipment is calibrated and certified each year.
